Traveled into the Amazon! In the morning, we left Quito and journeyed via bus and boat to Minga Lodge.
On the bus, Microsoft YouthSpark winners bonded...and slept:

 Beautiful scenery:

While on the bus, we took a brief 'rest stop.' It should be called a 'move around' stop.

Finally, after a day of bus riding, we reached the Napo River. Piling into canoes, our group traveled across the river and reached our final destination, Minga Lodge to volunteer at a school in a tiny community east of Tena which is located in the Orellana province on the Napo River, the largest tributary of the Amazon River.

Tomorrow we begin work here on a local school in the community.
