Today was our first day at the work site in the indigenous community of Mondaña. Our group is building a kitchen in the school to benefit the community. A year ago, the Ecuadorian government ruled that children in indiginous schools would only be provided a drink and snack for lunch.  Building the school kitchen will allow the children to receive a full, nutritious lunch. Cooking is like chemistry, so technically we're helping to make delicious 'science.'
