I don't necessarily trust in magic 100% but...Shaman today!
In the morning, before we returned to the work site, a few of us were greeted by Yolanda the parrot. It was unexpected to see a parrot so close - she's a great bird as long as you listen to her instructions and 'back-up.' That's the only thing she said to us.

After some 'parrot talk,' I had a personal Microsoft interview while working at the build site. In the interview I was asked more about Science for Success, my aspirations and goals, questions about my Amazon experience so far, and other personal questions. The interview will be published as part of a video of the winners coming out this September - so exciting!

Back at the build site:



In the afternoon, we headed to see the Shaman. He performed a spiritual ritual with us and demonstrated sphere throwing. Shamans are very important people to their indigenous tribes. The powers to heal and connect with nature are seen as the Shaman's greatest gifts.
